Workshops & Experiences
Not at all. Most of our experiences are designed for beginners, and we'll guide you through the process step by step.
Our workshops include instruction, access to studio tools, and materials. For our weekly workshops, the workshop fee serves as a deposit that is applied toward your project, allowing you to choose the materials, gemstones, and design elements that best fit your style and budget. For our monthly technical workshops, the workshop fee includes instruction, use of studio tools, and the materials needed to complete the featured project, with optional upgrades and additional materials available if you'd like to further personalize your piece.
Absolutely. Many guests attend on their own and enjoy creating alongside other members of the community.
Open Studio & Reservations
Yes! We welcome reservations for individuals and groups of all sizes. While walk-ins are welcome when space is available, we recommend making a reservation—especially for groups of four or more—so we can prepare for your visit and ensure the best experience for both your group and other guests in the studio. Whether you're coming on your own, with a few friends, or planning a larger gathering, we'd love to create space for you.
Our studio can host up to 20 guests for private gatherings and workshops.
Our studio is a place to create what inspires you. While our workshops are designed around a shared project or technique, you'll have plenty of opportunities to make it your own through your choice of metals, stones, textures, and design details. Every piece reflects the creativity and style of the person who make it.
Private Events
We host birthday celebrations, bridal events, team-building experiences, friend gatherings, and other special occasions.
Yes. We offer mobile jewelry experiences for larger groups, corporate events, and select off-site gatherings.
We recommend booking private events in advance, especially for larger groups. Reserving online allows us to prepare your materials and ensure we have the appropriate team available to assist and guide your group throughout the experience. While we do our best to accommodate late-minute request, advance reservations help us create the best possible experience for everyone.

Barbara Birdsong offers custom jewelry design service. Together, you'll start wiith an inspiration and collaborate to create a bespoke, one-of-kind piece that reflects your personal style and story. The process begins with a design consultation, followed by a deposit to cover materials and metals needed for your piece. Every design is thoughtfully crafted and made specially for you.
The materials available vary by project, but we regularly work with sterling silver, 14K gold-filled metals, brass, and bronze cast elements. We offer a variety of metals, chains, findings, and design components so you can customize your piece to match your style, vision, and budget. Each project is designed to give you flexibility in selecting the materials that best reflect your personal story and aesthetic.

About Perch
Perch is a creative jewelry studio where people gather to make, learn, connect, and celebrate through the process of creating. As an open studio, we encourage people to walk in, explore their creativity, and make something meaningful in an inspiring and welcoming environment. We remove many of the traditional barriers to creating by providing the tools, instruction, materials, and guidance needed to bring your ideas to life.
Whether you're joining a workshop, attending an Open Studio event, reserving space with friends, or simply stopping in to create on your own, Perch is designed to make creativity accessible, approachable, and enjoyable for everyone—regardless of experience level. Our goal is to help people reconnect with the joy of making while building meaningful connections with themselves and others.
A perch is a place to pause, gather, observe, and create. We believe creativity flourishes when we slow down and make space for connection—with ourselves, each other, and the materials we work with.
